VGA Connection

VGA (Video Graphics Array) port consists of fifteen pins having five pins each in three rows. You can use this port to connect your monitors to the PCs. The description of this is more clearly visible in the image given below which shows the VGA port in TV and Laptop.

It is recommended that you should only use a VGA connection if any one of your device either TV or laptop, is not having a HDMI port. Even the latest TVs and laptops no longer support VGA ports. This is clearly visible in the recently bought laptops.

VGA is only restricted to transmitting only video content, but it does not support audio format. For a smooth audio experience use a separate 3.5mm audio cable. 3.5mm Aux cable must be connected from the headphone out socket of your laptop to the audio port of your TV.

Connect Your Laptop to TV Using A VGA Cable?

Connect one end of your VGA cable to the VGA port on your PC or laptop and the other end to the VGA or ‘PC IN’ port on your TV.

Then a 3.5mm audio cable (male to male) must be connected to the headphone jack on your laptop and insert the other end into the audio-in port on the TV.

Input of the TV must be changed by selecting ‘PC’ or ‘Computer’ as the input. Some TVs may detect the connected laptop or PC automatically.

Then you can right-click on the desktop of your laptop or PC and start with selecting Display Settings.
